At Cathay Innovation, a global VC fund with a strong presence in the US, Asia, and Europe, I embarked on my maiden journey into venture capital, deepening my grasp on investment intricacies. Through engaging with startups, analyzing potential investments, and navigating the complexities of market trends, I honed my investment, analytical and communications skills.
Both an innovation strategy consulting firm and a start-up accelerator, Impulse Partners provided a unique lens into the merger of traditional industry and modern startups. Specializing in areas such as Construction, PropTech, and SmartCity, I focused on identifying innovations, coaching nascent ventures, and undertaking pivotal consulting roles. This experience saw me adeptly multitask, from discovering startups and understanding industry synergies to organizing events and guiding pitch preparations.
As part of the Product/Development department, I was responsible for the optimization of operational processes, with a focus on flow management (physical, financial, administrative) and the improvement of tools and methods to boost efficiency. This included auditing, modeling and implementing an agile method.
Education
For my final year of Master's, I joined the renowned Haas faculty, which offers a dynamic learning environment and a vast network within the Bay Area's ecosystem. Here, I'm gaining skills in innovation strategy and market opportunity recognition while diving into an entrepreneurial project and broadening my perspective through numerous site visits.
Immersed in a multicultural environment at SKK University in Seoul, I gained profound insights into the digital landscape, market dynamics, and strategic corporate decision-making. My six-month experience further illuminated the unique intersection of western business concepts with Asian market intricacies, amplifying my global perspective within Korea's burgeoning entrepreneurial scene.
At EDHEC, I collaborated with a diverse international cohort, transitioning from my engineering roots to deeply engage with the core tenets of business, finance, and management. Our curriculum centered on the technological and digital facets of business, providing an in-depth understanding of today's evolving business landscape.
In a two-year span, I applied an extensive scientific foundation to hands-on projects, ranging from mechanics and computer science to biology or architecture. This multifaceted experience not only broadened my knowledge but also refined my leadership and project management capabilities, preparing me for an impactful and passionate career path.
